Saas e-commerce platform BigCommerce continues its expansion into Latin America by partnering with dLocal, a payment platform that connects merchants to emerging markets.
The new partnership will enable global merchants to accept payments such as local cards and other alternative payment methods powered by dLocal.
Unfamiliar payment options or lack of choice can be a giant conversion killer at checkout. Offering customers familiar, local payment options will be a huge boon for BigCommerce merchants and their store conversion rates. It will also give store owners access to markets that have been difficult to target up to now due to the difficulty of accepting payments in these countries.
BigCommerce sees Latin America as a key region for growth, and this new initiative will help to grow its presence while also giving its merchants access to this growing market.
“Through the partnership, we look forward to supporting their expansion both onboarding regional merchants and growing their existing EU and U.S. merchants into the high-opportunity Latin American markets.”
